About this artwork

2D illustration isn't my forte, but here's my take on Jambo based on the description given. I thought about it and decided to keep him on four legs rather than two, mainly because it fits better with a short story I played in my head about him helping someone out. To show that he's proudly African, I added a lot of markings to his fur. When coming up with the design, I kept in mind that it could later on be translated into 3d by another artist, so I kept the proportions simple and readable.
