About this artwork

Alchemy, Gold, Mathematics, Astrophysics and intricate Gold artefacts were all part and parcel of the 12th century Benin. I believe that as an Artivist who creates Art to raise awareness about social issues within the African diaspora and how those issues resonate to the rest of the world, it is important to filter out and focus on the wealth of Gold & Fauna that 12th century Benin thrived on, thus the Gold Rhino which can also be traced in Mapungubwe.
