Creating a world from nothing is the task of an Environment Artist, a responsibility of generating environments born inside the human mind on to a 3D. Their work is invaluable to the creation of video games, animated movies and films. They create the digital assets and visuals players in a game or actors will encounter and interact with.
Omar Fernandes, from Guinea-Bissau, has mastered the art. With s career-spanning over a decade, he has created environments for Hollywood blockbusters and games.
After graduating from Vancouver Film School, he started his career as a 3ds Max instructor. He slowly worked his way up to creating some of the best environment in the CG & VFX world. With experiences in the field of Lighting, CG generalists and Sequence lead, he has worked on such projects like Pacific Rim, Captain America: The winter soldier, Game of Thrones, Star Wars Episode VII, The Division 2, GTA 5, Aquaman, Avengers: Infinity war etc.
