The subject for this daily practice is Field Marshall Dedan Kimathi. It is inspired by a convo that ran on @thepanafrican (IG) involving the enormous sacrifices that freedom fighters in Kenya had to make to pull the country from the tough grip of Great Britain. Kimathi and his fellow brave men and women inspired a lot of leaders, activists, and freedom fighters, right down to great leaders like Nelson Mandela. And it is because of these heroes that we enjoy the freedom we have today. Field Marshall Dedan Kimathi is Black Royalty. Here i have depicted him as the legendary young David, taking a sling at Goliath.
