The purpose of this comic project is to present Haiti in a different way that we used to know. With a straightforward way, colorful, humor and a lot of energy I would like to describe everything that characterize the island: culture, belief, superstitions, history, landscapes and traditions. Also, in a fictional way, I would like to remain on an ancestral tradition that comes from our African origins: Voodoo. People says that this religion, as old as the world itself, is a black magic practice that allows users to call on malevolent spirits. It is also said that this cult has harmful consequences on the island and its population. For every problem, a solution. Each culture or country has it own comic book Heroes. Superman and batman for the Americans, Asterix and Tintin for the Europeans and Naruto and DragonBall for the Japanese. With this project, I would like to offer, to Haiti and the caribbean, an emblematic,credible and incredible character who can, in a certain way, save the population from the misery and the darkness. “PINGA !” (translated: CAUTION/ BE CAREFULL ! !)is the story of a young Haitian, who tries to protect his country from creatures that voodoo release for 200 years.
