The Role
We are looking for a Marketing & Community Manager to lead audience growth, community engagement, and sponsorship outreach.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. You will own how CGAfrica shows up online and how we convert attention into participation, partnerships, and revenue.
You will report directly to the Founder.
Core Responsibilities
What you'll be doing day-to-day
Content & Social Media
- •Design and schedule social media posts (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
- •Develop and manage a weekly content calendar
- •Create competition announcements, countdown campaigns, and launch materials
- •Maintain brand consistency across platforms
Community Engagement
- •Actively engage with artists across platforms
- •Moderate community discussions
- •Encourage participation in competitions
- •Identify and spotlight standout artists
Competition Promotion
- •Drive sign-ups for competitions
- •Build pre-launch hype and post-launch recap campaigns
- •Track performance metrics and improve conversion
Sponsorship Outreach
- •Identify potential sponsors and partners
- •Draft outreach emails and partnership proposals
- •Support sponsor onboarding and relationship management
Growth Strategy
- •Recommend new growth channels
- •Analyse engagement data
- •Suggest improvements to campaigns and positioning
Requirements
What we're looking for
Proven experience in social media marketing, community management, or digital marketing
Strong written communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Comfortable using Canva or similar design tools
Bonus: Experience in outreach or partnerships
Bonus: Interest in digital art, African culture, or creative industries
